If you’re reading this, congratulations! It means you invested in finding out more about me, which is a good sign for our future collaboration.
Before I create your bespoke masterpiece, and adorn your walls, we need to get to know each other. I thought I’d kick off the process with a virtual introduction from my side.
Despite studying Fine Art at the University of Cape Town, I ended up working in hospitality, opening and running restaurants and bars all over London. Years in hospitality combined with my art background led to the creation of my trademark term, “art sommelier”.
I have realised that not all heroes wear capes - my superpower is remaining calm under pressure and figuring out practical solutions to complex problems.
I’m a die-hard romantic with a wry and dry sense of humour who has a particular fondness for cataloguing, lines, grids and stationary (especially brushes and pencils).
I guess you could say that I have creative OCD!
When I’m not out photographing or making art, you will find me on the hockey pitch.
I love sports and anywhere outdoors….
Except if it involves heights or creepy crawlies!
My creative spirit knows no bounds and – in fact – I see the world around me in single-frames or animation-mode.
I’m an avid devourer of stop animation (Wes Anderson is my favourite) and would wear a cape every day if I could, but the adult-me settles for flowing scarves.
Nowadays I reserve the cape for fancy dress parties and my special powers!
And my happy place?
That would have to be spending time with my partner, going to braais (barbecues), tucking into a bottle of red wine or sipping slowly on an old fashioned cocktail or whiskey with our dog Toto
The 'formal' stuff
I can work across many disciplines and my worked experience is a combination of visual art, motion, fine art and landscape. I enjoy working on an individual basis or collaborating with other like-minded artists
Here are a few examples of where my work has featured :

- I exhibited at the Martin Osner gallery.
- Several commercial projects for bars and restaurants in London.
- Commercial projects for Vineyards

Let's Chat! (Over a glass of wine?!)
The FUN FACTS
Sponge-hair square jaw, mielie (corn on the cob) and helium Hagrid are just a few of my nicknames. It’s something to do with my hair, square jaw and teeth.
Inspirational people include, Francis Bacon, Lucien Freud, Tracey Emin, Jessica Ennis and my ultimate hero… The Queen!
Beautiful sunsets, sea, music, art, and watching the lion king reduces me to tears.
I love wine (definitely haven’t mentioned this before).
When I was younger, I wanted to be a conductor (orchestra not bus!) or archaeologist. I’m now a conductor of my creativity, and the end product is my final symphony!
Pet peeve? I can’t tolerate rudeness, bullying, germs and queuing. Now imagine a rude germ-ridden bully in a queue – PASS!
Music-wise, I willingly listen to anything by Queen on repeat. Although I still can’t play Bohemian Rapsody on the guitar, I can certainly belt out WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!
Coffee, bananas and tomatoes are my ‘can’t live without’ necessities.
I like wine…
